Crook: It's Good To Be Bad is a Hindi action thriller that stars Emran Hashmi, Bollywood newcomer Neha Sharma and Arjan Bajwa. The movie was produced by Mukesh Bhatt and directed by Mohit Suri. The movie was shot in Australia and tells the story of Indian students who suffered racism and violent race related attacks in the country throughout 2009.
Lead actor Emran Hashmi has already starred in the Mohit Suri directed movies Kalyug and Awarapan, while his co-star Neha Sharma is making her Bollywood debut. The actress has previously worked with actor Ram Charan Teja in the Telugu film Chirutha.
In Crook: It's Good To Be Bad, Emraan Hashmi portrays an Indian boy from a middle class family who moves to Australia to achieve his goals; make more money and have a better life. He's not always very honest and doesn't shy away from criminal behavior in order to get what he wants.
Neha Shamra on the other hand portrays a girl who grew up in Australia and who is trying to appease the tense relationship between the Australian and Indian communities. There is a love story involved between the movie's two stars, but Emran will also be seen kissing an Australian girl!
The movie was inspired by a real-life experience as director Mohit Suri found about racist attacks on Indian students in Melbourne when he visited a grocery store in the Sunshine district.
