Yamla Pagla Deewana (YPD) movie story is all about an NRI Param Singh Dhillon who is searching his family that got separated from him . Param Singh Dhillon role is played by Sunny Deol an honest NRI working as as a bank loan recovery agent in Vancouver, Canada lives with his mother, his Canadian wife Mary and two sons. Param Singh Dhillon being the eldest and Gajodhar Singh as another son of son of garam "Dharam Singh" . Due to personal problems between Dharam Singh and his wife(Nafisa Ali) , is decided to get separated from each other and wife has given an divorce to Dharam Singh for which one night suddenly Dharam Singh took his youngest son "Gajodhar Singh " and disappeared. Dharmendra being played by a conman in the film, who abandoned his family and moved to Temple city of Varanasi with younger son Gajodhar Singh who tries to follow his father but he becomes overboared.In between Param Singh Dhillon decided to find his father and his brother Gajodhar decided to come back and arrived in the temple city of Varanasi. In Varanasi both Dharam Singh and Gajodhar Singh are considered as conman as they make people fool and take the advantage of their foolishness. Dharam has been adored by women of his age because of his good personality and style, but he doesn’t believe in love. His younger son, Gajodhar played by Bobby Deol has same habits like his father but he gets nervous in the company of women. Meanwhile Param Singh finds them, but to his dismay they sustain themselves by committing petty crimes, as thugs. Now, Sunny wants to take both of them back to give them a comfortable life.
