The Film
Wanted is a routine revenge story peppered with romance and the usual song-dance-stunt sequences.

The Synopsis
Ram Babu (Gopichand) has doting parents (Chandramohan and Jayasudha) who have sufficient riches so that Ram Babu can lead a care-free life. He meets Nandini (Deeksha Seth) a medical college student whose timely help saves his mother from a cardiac stroke. Ram Babu falls in love with Nandini but she has an axe to grind against an underworld don Basava Reddy (Prakash Raj). She seeks the help of Ram Babu to seek revenge on Basava Reddy.

Who is Basava Reddy? Why does Nandini seek revenge on him? How does Ram Babu accomplish the task? Answers to these questions lead to a predictable climax.

The Performances
Gopichand tries his best to essay his role which does not have any depth. His character is not properly etched. Deeksha Seth looks glamorous but has nothing much to perform. Prakash Raj has done this sort of roles many times over. Jayasudha is the quintessential mother. Chandramohan, Ahuthi Prasad and Nazar are their usual selves. Benarjee, Subbaraju and Shafi have routine roles. Brahmanandam evokes a few laughs. All others go through their motions.

The Techniques
Wanted Telugu Movie Review
The story is routine and predictable. Presentation alone will not create interest in the narration. Screenplay is sketchy and allows drag. Dialogues are pale and uninteresting. Writer BVS Ravi should have chosen a better theme for his directorial venture. Chakri’s music is a relief. Rasool Ellore’s cinematography is bright. The action sequences have too much of blood and gore. Production values are good.

The Verdict
Wanted is a routine mass masala film with the age old revenge plot and nothing much of entertainment values.
